Neighborhood Dances
April 3 – May 1, 2015
A video installation and exhibition by Victoria Bradford at the Art Associates Gallery in Lake Charles Louisiana, featuring the first year in the Neighborhood Dances archive. Bradford also performed a danced lecture in the space of the exhibition on Friday, April 24 in conjunction with the local Spring Artwalk.
Neighborhood Dances began in July 2014 as a series of daily microdances, recorded on an iPhone and distributed through social media. These suburban and urban interventions were brief gestures exploring the landscape as a frame for idiosyncratic improvised movement.
EXHIBITING ARTIST: Victoria Bradford
